Plancher Epoxy Sherbrooke. Steps to installed a epoxy floor
Free telephone consultation
It all starts with a telephone consultation with one of our experts. He will ask you a few questions in order to evaluate your needs.
Before the call, we recommend that you measure and note the dimensions of each of the parts that will need to be covered with an epoxy or polyaspartic coating. In this way, we will be able to determine the scope of the work with more precision.
During this telephone interview, you will be able to ask any questions you may have and we will be pleased to guide you through the entire preparation and installation process. We will set up an appointment at a time that suits you to meet you at the site where the work will take place.
The free meeting with our appraiser
Our appraiser will come to your home on the day and at the time agreed upon. In your company, he will visit the premises concerned by the work in order to precisely evaluate the cost and duration of the work. He will take the exact measurements of the parts to ensure that he has all the material necessary for the execution of each task. Our evaluator will make a complete analysis of the condition of the concrete. If he detects major anomalies that require the intervention of another professional, he will immediately inform you of the procedure to follow. At the end of the meeting, he will be able to determine which product will best meet your needs and give you the total amount required to complete the work. Once again, you will be able to ask him any questions you may have regarding your project.
The first day of work
Finally, the big day has arrived! The evening before, we ask you to free up the space to allow us to move around freely and do the work as efficiently as possible.
Concrete cleaning Using a grinding wheel with diamond blades, we will proceed with the preparation of the concrete. This piece of equipment, at the cutting edge of technology, will allow our installer to remove the existing paint, if necessary. If no layer of paint has been applied, we will still use the diamond blade grinder to remove all impurities present on the surface of the concrete. Don't worry, this stage of the work will leave very little dirt in your home. In fact, the thin layer of concrete that is removed is immediately sucked up by the unit and will not end up in the ambient air.
Caulking cracks Once the concrete is cleaned, we will proceed to the sealing of the cracks. During this step, we will only use specialized products to ensure that the epoxy coating will adhere perfectly to the floor.
Epoxy application Using a squeegee, and occasionally a roller, the epoxy or polyaspartic coating will be applied evenly over the entire surface. If you have chosen to add vinyl flakes, it is immediately after the application of the epoxy that these elements will be added. Then, we will have to let it rest until the next day to make sure there is enough drying time.
Second day of work
At this stage, our installer will apply the epoxy or polyaspartic topcoat. Before leaving, he will give you precise instructions regarding the drying time required. He will also give you advice on the maintenance of your new floor.
